Good morning brave Topsy. I remembered to put a photo on poor Jenny's page yesterday of her and Percy cuddled up out there in the gardens. After over three years, I have given up asking my little sister for photos of little you, I shall just have to try to remember to go onto my old computer and have a look… I am sure that I must have some. I have just seen two greedy odd bow-legged pig-eons out there on the big branch of that big tree, I was wondering what Molly was staring at. All I had to do was open the big window, and they flapped off somewhere, of course, one of them was that greedy one with the long, bow-legged neck… poor Jenny almost caught the greedy odd thing so many times. Of course, I would not really mind them eating from the big bucket, if only they would do what the other birds do, grab a few seeds or nuts, and them fly away, but they do not. They stay there for ages pecking and pecking and pecking until it has all gone, and that makes me angry, it reminds me of the old ogre. He would take food off our plates, and mutter that he did not have enough, even though his plate would have been heaving with so much food, I did not know how he could shovel it all down, but he did. I went to sleep late last night, hoping for a lay in this morning, but that did not happen… I was awake a couple of hours later, and I do not know how long it took me to get back to sleep. Something woke me up quickly this morning, and when I looked at the time, it was the usual time that I get up. I just wanted to go back to sleep, but I had to feed Percy and George, so I got up, got dressed, and staggered downstairs to the kitchen. They both came running in when I opened the garden doors, and I gave them two packets of food each, with a load of biscuits… but they did not clear their saucers as they usually do. George wanted to go out, but Percy just jumped onto Charlie's chair by the scary old washing machine, and he stayed there until I came back down to make some tea. He wanted to go out, so I did not feel as guilty as I usually do, and I made some tea, and got back up here out of the way before the ogress came thundery-trundling down the hallway like one of those huge nasty old scary lorry thingies. We do love you Topsy, we love you so much little girl, and we do miss you, we miss you so much you beautiful brave little girl. XXXXX
