Good morning beautiful Topsy. Yesterday was much better than it has been little girl, and it was nowhere near as hot as the day before… so there were no swamp-things sizzling away in the sun, the stench reminds me of barbecue coals. Poor Percy wanted to go out as soon as I staggered into the kitchen just before midday, and I stayed down there talking with my poor Mum and sister for a few hours. Of course, that was not allowed to go on for long. I did not hear the usual crashing’s and smashing’s that I usually hear, just the slightest of slithering’s, and then something came crashing through the door of the room that I was in… had anyone been by the door, they would have been knocked flying. That was yet another favourite trick of the evil old ogre, he could make as much noise as a herd of rhinos during the night, just to wake us up, but during the day, tip-toe around like a giant ballerina, unless I was working nights. I hung around for a few minutes, but got back up here before the snorting, growling, snarling, and trumpeting started. I was expecting to hear that certified idiot, and its new annoying thing that it does, but it was quiet, though I could hear something squelching and squidging out there. When I went down there for some noodles, some farmyard noises started up, but after I had got up here out of the way with them, it soon stopped. I can just about remember having to get out of the way with Molly last night, I think I had a goodish kind of night, but I was awake early again, and could not get back to sleep. I crawled out of bed, went downstairs to feed Percy and George, and Percy came in as soon as I opened the garden doors… George would rather stand there howling, but then decided to come bustling inside. I gave them their food, let George out with ham when she finished, and gave Percy his usual. Something was sat there like a very, very large beaver, waiting for me to get out of its way, when I took my poor Mum’s coffee in to her. Poor Percy’s plate was still full, so I managed to get a nice cuddle from him before I got back up here. Molly did not appear until about half an hour later, just as I had started eating my biscuits, and sat there glaring at me until I gave her some biscuits… thankfully, she did not go ploughing into her tray when she had finished. I am so tired that I am almost falling asleep as I tap this out little girl, I have been awake for almost five hours, and I almost fell asleep just then. All I can hear are the little birds chirping away, and the annoying wailings of a siren in the background… but I suppose that is better than the ‘oh ohhing’s’ of a severely deranged thing from the swamp. I love you Topsy, and I miss you too little girl. XxX
