Good mornings Top Tops. It was an awful day yesterday little girl, it was the hottest day for a long time, the last hot day like it was just before Katie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Outside was even worse, yet it did not stop the swamp things, and that deranged, moronic, mutated mini swamp-witching thing and its six-toed, three-eyed, pointy-tailed friends from screaming, squawking, screeching, and wailing for the whole of the afternoon, and a good few hours into the evening. In the late afternoon, there was four huge claps of thunder, and a thunderbolt, which would have frightened most human adults, but those things were still running around making as much noise as they possibly could until it started raining. When that started, they started screaming, and wailing, and went galloping into the smelly old rundown swampy house… it was as if the rain was burning them, and they had to get away from it. Of course, it only rained for a couple of minutes, and then it went. As soon as the rain had gone, back out they came, making more noise than they had made before… it is like living next to a school and a park all welded together, how they could keep going in all that heat I do not know, especially those swamp things. Poor Molly did not know what to do with herself, she kept crying to me, and I wiped her with some wetwipes, but it did not help. I bought a squirty thing to spray a fine mist of water over her a couple of years ago, but she is frightened of that. I do not want to use it again in case she mistrusts me, so I held her in front of the new not so scary old fan, but she did not like that either. Last night was absolutely terrible, it was so bad that I had to sleep on top of the bed instead of inside it, and I did not have a very good night at all. When I woke up this morning, I could not get up, and fell back to sleep, and when I did wake up, I had overslept by fifty minutes. I did not see the cats until I went back down to the kitchen to make some tea. Percy, Jenny, and George were out there, but I could not have fed them, as I had to get out of the ogresses snorting way as usual. There was supposed to be another thunderstorm this morning, but of course, as each hour goes by, the it is moved on to the next hour… when I check next, it will have probably disappeared altogether. I have just had a look, and surprise surprise, the thunderstorm has disappeared, and has been moved to Tuesday, yet if they said that it would be 740° in the shade this afternoon, it would be. The only noise that I have heard so far today has been that big old dog from over the back there, and it has only just started barking… maybe we are going to have a rare, peaceful day for a change. We do love you Topsy, we love you so much little girl, and we do miss you, we miss you so much you beautiful brave little girl. XXXXX
